Customer Support Engineer

Post-sales customer support engineers are sought to address and resolve customer issues. The candidate must have experience with network security and network administration of Linux or UNIX equipment. The candidate must have experience interfacing with customers and must be willing to travel.

The right candidate will possess experience with programming and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Tcl, Bash, C, C++, or similar.

The position requires 5+ years of relevant experience.

Security Clearance is not required.

Software Engineer for Network Security Management

Software engineers are sought to contribute the software design, implementation, and verification of the Fidelis network security management console. The candidate must have experience in the development of software products and must possess expert knowledge of C++ and Database Applications in a Linux or UNIX development environment.

The right candidate will have experience with one or more database application, such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracale, or similar products. Their experience must include the development of database schema and database interface software. Experience with the implementation of web applications, using Java, J2EE, JSP, JSF, AJAX, and similar is strongly desired.

The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. A BSCS (or equivalent) is required; an MSCS is preferred.

Software Engineer for Extrusion Detection and Prevention

Software engineers are sought to contribute the software design, implementation, and verification of Fidelis extrusion prevention products. The candidate must have experience in the development of software products and must possess expert knowledge of C in a Linux or UNIX development environment.

The right candidate will have experience with the development of application protocols (such as SMTP, IMAP, MAPI) or communication applications (such as sendmail, qmail, postfix). Knowledge in other development languages (such as C++, Perl, Python, Java) is highly desired. The position requires 3-7 years of relevant experience. A BSCS (or equivalent) is required; an MSCS is preferred. Support Engineer

Numbers of years experience. 3+

Relevant project work (prior start up experience, extrusion detection, etc)

Must haves (Technology speaking - environment, programming languages, )

  • Background in networks and network security
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and administration
  • Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Technical excellence and professional delivery and communication
  • Experience with Unix/Linux
  • Experience with networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, network taps.
  • Four-year degree in a computer-related discipline is required but can be replaced by experience

Big pluses (nice to haves, technology speaking)

  • Since person in this position may do local office IT support as needed, experience in practical IT support/networking is a big plus

Presales Engineers

Fidelis Security Systems has several immediate openings for talented pre-sales professionals.

Ideal candidates will have significant experience supporting network security related products and services sales. Knowledge of IDS/IPS/Firewalls configuration and management and a CISSP is a plus. The job requires the ability to create and deliver presentations, oversee evaluations, lead white boarding sessions, and offer other skills that translate complex technology into problem solutions.

Whole Product Manager

The Whole Product Manager for Fidelis XPS will guide how Fidelis' best-in-breed solution for network data leakage prevention, the Fidelis Extrusion Prevention System®, interacts with other products across IT security and infrastructure.  The Whole Product Manager will be required to understand how Fidelis XPS can interact across a customer's IT infrastructure and will be responsible for the entire product life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities, for how Fidelis XPS integrates with other technology solutions.  Key areas of focus will include alert management/correlation (SIM/SEM), IT operations, endpoint solutions, server technologies, e-mail gateways, proxy servers and encryption solutions.

Responsibilities encompass strategic planning, working with sales and marketing to determine market driven requirements for integration, working with business development on the Fidelis partner strategy, working with other software providers on technical integration, though working with engineering to define and document product release requirements.  The whole product manager must be able to communicate with customers and prospects, partners, as well as all areas of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assume and maintain a Whole Product Strategy for integrating Fidelis XPS with other components of customer's IT infrastructure. This strategy should be driven by market needs including customer, prospect, partner, analyst, competitive and other market drivers.
  • Define and document requirements for Fidelis XPS technical integration with 3rd party solutions and work with engineering to ensure delivery of a product that provides prospects a compelling reason to purchase
  • Develop solutions guides demonstrating how Fidelis XPS and 3rd party solutions can integrate using current shipping versions before moving to requirements for software development by either party
  • When appropriate, work with VP, Strategic Alliances on relationship strategies and implementation with partners.
  • Educate the sales channel on 3rd party integration and participate in the sales process for key accounts
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative market research including visits to customers, prospects, non-customers and partners
  • Conduct competitive research and educate the market and sales channel on Fidelis XPS' key differentiators related to the Whole Product Strategy
  • Support the Senior Product Manager for Fidelis XPS with requirements, use cases and sales tool generation

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of software product management experience
  • Experience working with customers and prospects-including market research, validating requirements and supporting sales cycles
  • Experience with networking, security and/or compliance solutions in commercial, government and/or education customers.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Product Management.  This position requires travel to customer sites and events.
