With more than 25 years of global network security experience, Peter George has an established track record of building companies that deliver sustained growth and profits and in identifying critical worldwide partnership opportunities that strategically expand market share. Prior to becoming President and CEO of Fidelis Security Systems in 2008, Mr. George spent the last seven years as President and CEO of Crossbeam Systems, the market leader in the high-end segment of the Unified Threat Management market, where he took the company from being a pre-revenue start-up to over $50 million in revenue. Previously, he was President of Nortel Networks Enterprise Business in Europe, Middle-East, and Africa, responsible for managing more than 5,000 employees and $2 billion in revenue. Mr. George came to Nortel via their 1998 acquisition of Bay Networks where he was serving as vice president of European operations. During his tenure at Wellfleet and Bay, he played key sales executive roles in New England and in Europe. Prior to joining Wellfleet, Mr. George served as the Northeast regional manager and GM of Canada at 3Com Corporation, and also held senior management positions at Ungerman Bass. He received his BA from the College of the Holy Cross, and has done graduate studies at Harvard and Oxford University.
Gene Savchuk has been in the computer and networking industry for 15 years, first managing networks and then moving to developing commercial network security and management solutions. His first network systems administration program went to market in 1992. In 1995, a remote user authentication solution that he developed was introduced to European markets. Prior to co-founding Fidelis Security Systems, Inc., he served as Director of Software Development at InforMax Inc. and helped to guide it from a startup to a public company with almost 300 employees. At Fidelis, he has been the primary architect and has led the development of Fidelis XPS. Mr. Savchuk holds a Bachelors Degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics and a Master of Computer Science.
Kurt Bertone brings more than two decades of industry and relationship-building experience to his role as Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Fidelis Security Systems. Mr. Bertone was most recently Vice President of Product Management at Covergence, where he was a founder and was responsible for ensuring that session management solutions provided the most comprehensive security in the industry. His previous experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer EMEA at Nortel and Bay Networks, and Vice President of Business Development at Crossbeam Systems. Mr. Bertone has worked closely with world-class security companies such as Check Point Technologies, Internet Security Systems (ISS), Trend Micro, Websense, Secure Computing and others. He holds a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University and a Masters of Science in Computer, Information & Control Engineering from the University of Michigan.
As the Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Sean Price brings a twenty-year track record of revenue generation and partnership development to his role at Fidelis Security Systems. Most recently he served as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Application Security. During his tenure AppSecInc grew from a small start up, to the leader in Database Security Vulnerability Assessment experiencing triple digit growth year over year. Previously, Mr. Price spent more than seven years leading the sales and business development organizations at SafeNet Inc. He led the company's worldwide effort to attract large enterprise customers and strategic OEM partnerships that ultimately gained SafeNet its market leadership position. He also played an instrumental role in corporate development and actively participated in executing the company's acquisition strategy. Before joining SafeNet, Mr. Price held executive sales positions at Nuera Communications Inc. and Network Equipment Technologies. Prior networking credentials were earned at Paine Webber Inc.
David Etue brings years of experience at early-stage and mature companies to his role at Fidelis Security Systems. Prior to joining the company, he was Vice President of Marketing at Celcorp and led product management for a variety of technology products and services at Global eXchange Services (GXS). Before his tenure with GXS, Mr. Etue led General Electric's global computer security program. He was a member of the GE Information Management Council, and was an original member of GE's Global E-Commerce team, which was responsible for development of the company's e-business strategy. Mr. Etue originally joined GE on the IM Leadership Program, and held various positions in technology strategy and operations. Mr. Etue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Delaware.
Gerald Mancini brings valuable experience in building and leading early-stage product development teams to his role at Fidelis Security Systems. Prior to joining the company, he served as Director of Engineering at Torrent Network Technologies where he led the development of an edge-router product which included software, hardware, and custom chip design efforts. His tenure at Torrent continued after the company was acquired by Ericsson and the development effort shifted toward IP routing products for wireless infrastructure networks. Prior to joining Torrent, he led chip development and system test for Nexion, an ATM switch manufacturer, both before and after its acquisition by Fujitsu. Mr. Mancini holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.
