Eric Gore Brings Unique Combination of Industry, Technology and Sales Leadership Expertise to Extrusion Prevention Leader
BETHESDA, MD - January 18, 2007 - Fidelis Security Systems, the authority on extrusion prevention, today announced that Eric Gore has joined the company as vice president of worldwide sales. Mr. Gore is a top-performing executive with a proven track record in strategic, complex sales of security solutions to both the commercial and government sectors. Most recently, Mr. Gore was president and CEO of Pavisor where he led the company's development of a unique institutional sales qualification system based on years of sales expertise that includes privacy assessment services, using Fidelis XPSTM, to address identified data security gaps among customers. Previously, he was vice president of worldwide sales for Intrusion, Inc. (NASDAQ: INTZ), a global IT security products company focused on network-based intrusion prevention and Regulated Information Compliance Systems.
"Eric brings to Fidelis a broad perspective on our industry's requirements, a deep understanding of the tools to meet these challenges, and proven success building and managing sales teams that deliver," said Timothy Sullivan, CEO of Fidelis Security Systems. "He joins us on the heels of having closed major projects with the U.S. Department of Defense and leading financial services companies to help shield against the loss of sensitive, confidential, classified and personal identity information."
While at Intrusion, Inc., Mr. Gore launched a number of innovative and successful go-to-market strategies and sales campaigns. For example, in 2005, Mr. Gore's largest security customer, the US Army at Fort Hood, was recognized for The Aberdeen Group's "Best Security Practices" award for demonstrating security industry thought leadership and project execution.
"I've worked with hundreds of organizations to help assess their data privacy vulnerabilities, and recommend and implement solutions," said Eric Gore. "The market opportunity is tremendous--literally every site I've visited is at risk for data leakage. Fidelis XPS is the only enterprise-class solution that meets the requirements for preventing data leakage, regardless of port or protocol, and offers the granularity of control to satisfy even the most demanding requirements."
From 1984 until the formation of Intrusion, Inc. in 2001, Mr. Gore was vice president of Strategic Business with ODS Networks. Prior to ODS Networks, he was a Regional Product Marketing Manager for five years at Texas Instruments. Mr. Gore holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management (BBA) from the University of North Texas and a Masters Degree in Finance (MBA) from Hardin-Simmons University.
