Fidelis Security Systems Releases Interface to Enable Third Party Content Analysis Integration with Industry's Only Extrusion Prevention System
Bethesda, MD - November 6, 2007 - Fidelis Security Systems, the authority on extrusion prevention, today announced the release of a new application programming interface (API) in their flagship product, the Fidelis Extrusion Prevention System® (Fidelis XPSTM) which will allow other providers of IT infrastructure and applications to access the Fidelis XPS decoding stack and policy engine for content analysis.
The recently released interface, implemented via the Simple Content Inspection Protocol (SCIP), exposes Fidelis XPS' leading content analysis to third party applications and tools ranging from endpoint security to messaging to storage solutions. SCIP enables a standard interface for these applications to seamlessly and immediately access the Fidelis XPS decoding stack and content policy engine. This integration enables Fidelis XPS customers to have a single location to manage content polices for both Fidelis XPS sensors and partner solutions.
"Fidelis Security Systems is known as a company dedicated to providing the industry's leading network data leakage prevention technology combined with comprehensive, accurate content analysis," said Gene Savchuk, CTO of Fidelis Security Systems. "The release of the Simple Content Inspection Protocol allows third parties to access our expertise, delivering the power of our content analysis platform to their customers."
Partners currently utilizing the interface in their products include ControlGuard, a leading provider of endpoint security solutions, and Lync Software, a leading provider of data loss prevention for mobile devices. Joint solutions will be available to customers this quarter. Additional interested partners should contact Fidelis Security Systems at partners@fidelissecurity.com
"ControlGuard is excited to be a launch partner of the Fidelis Extrusion Prevention System content analysis interface," said David Raanan, General Manager, US for ControlGuard. "This partnership adds Fidelis's leading content analysis to our enterprise-grade endpoint security solution to further content visibility across the enterprise."
"The addition of Fidelis XPS content analysis to LyncRMS enables more powerful data protection measures to be taken." said Kym Welsby, CEO for Lync Software. "Pairing Lync's File Interception Engine with Fidelis XPS content analysis gives customers control from activity to content."
