Fidelis Security Systems Announces Fidelis XPSTM Achieves Common Criteria "In Evaluation" Status
First Extrusion Prevention Solution to Achieve Milestone

BETHESDA, MD - March 13, 2007 - Fidelis Security Systems, the authority on extrusion prevention, today announced that the Fidelis Extrusion Prevention System®, Fidelis XPSTM, is undergoing Common Criteria-based evaluation and certification and has achieved Common Criteria "In Evaluation" status. Fidelis XPS is the first extrusion prevention solution to undergo this long and rigorous testing process and reach this status by the International Standards Organization. Fidelis XPS is now listed on the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme for IT Security (CCEVS) Web site at: http://www.niap-ccevs.org/cc-scheme/in_evaluation.cfm.

Fidelis XPS is the only solution able to identify and stop data leakages in real time across all channels on all ports, even on gigabit-speed networks. A uniquely powerful rules-based approach to identifying privacy-sensitive information eliminates the need for time-consuming data registration that is difficult to maintain. Organizations can manage and enforce policies regarding use of content and the network with unprecedented granularity of control. Fidelis XPS is a network appliance that fits seamlessly into existing IT infrastructure with minimal impact, requiring no configuration changes to network devices, servers or desktops.

The Common Criteria are an internationally recognized standard to evaluate and certify the level of security, compatibility and consistency of a particular product, system or service. Fidelis Security Systems has contracted with SAIC's Common Criteria Testing Lab (CCTL) to perform the evaluation. The certification will ensure that Fidelis XPS has been tested and validated against strict security and assurance requirements.

NIAP CCEVS certification, a critical requirement for U.S. government purchases of security products, has been required by all Department of Defense users under directive 8500.1 since July 2003 and is called for under the President's National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace, among other Government mandates and requirements.

"Fidelis XPS is being embraced by our military and other Federal agencies to detect and prevent data leakage in even the most stringent and complex organizations," said Eric Gore, vice president of worldwide sales, Fidelis Security Systems. "We are proud to offer the first data leakage solution to undertake Common Criteria certification. This external validation demonstrates not only the reliability and robustness of our solutions, but our commitment to this important customer base."

In addition to Common Criteria, the Air Force Information Operations Battlelab (AFIOB) also contracted Sandia National Labs to perform aggressive penetration testing as part of the overall evaluation and selection of Fidelis XPS as a project for Operational Security, furthering the external validation of the solution.
