We’re gearing up for Black Hat USA 2017. As you pack your bags and plan ahead, be sure to check out Fidelis – we’ve got demos, advanced technology and smart people. We’re also your stop for cool swag (hint hint!). Oh yeah, and we have pinball.
Here’s a look ahead at what we’ll be up to:
- F Your Alerts: We’ve had it with alert fatigue. We say “F Your Alerts!” That’s right…it’s time for security professionals to feel confident in their security tools. Stop using DIY solutions and complex technology. The Fidelis platform is engineered to make your life easier using automated detection and response. Visit booth #1024 and we’ll prove it.
- Black Hat Arsenal Presentation: Our very own Gita Zabari will present on Yalda, an automated tool for data mining and scanning files. The tool analyzes and decodes the given files and categories them with a score from 1 to 5. It also extracts data such as malicious domains, malicious URLs and embedded objects from each file. Results of the scan would include detailed information on the file such as SHA-256, severity, file type, file size, embedded objects, severity, etc.Learn more at Gita’s presentation:

Wednesday, July 26 | 10:00 AM — 11:20 AM
Location: Business Hall, Level 2, Station 6
- Black Hat Sponsored Session: Our threat researchers Hardik Modi and John Bambenek will discuss Fidelis Barncat, a constantly growing repository of extracted malware configurations that is made available at no cost by Fidelis Cybersecurity. Since its launch in 2016, Barncat has gone beyond its original Remote Access Trojan (RAT) focus and now includes other high-profile malware — including banking trojans and ransomware — while expanding to include configuration data from over 40 malware families. This talk will explore the application of the dataset in the enterprise and describe its use in automating threat detection and response for increased efficiency and effectiveness in the modern Security Operations Center (SOC) ecosystem.Fidelis Barncat 2.0 — New Frontiers in Community Threat Intelligence
